Dr. Chanda Thompson DVM

Dr. Chanda Thompson is a native to Lamar County. She grew up on a horse farm, where she showed horses most of her childhood. Dr. Chanda developed a passion for taking care of animals at a young age. She never thought about any other career other than being a veterinarian. Dr. Thompson received her Associate of Science degree from Gordon College. Then she pursued her bachelors of biology at Auburn University, prior to being accepted into the veterinary program at Tuskegee University school of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Chanda graduated veterinary school in May 2010. 

Dr. Chanda and her husband, Chad, have three daughters; Bayne, Charlie Kate, and Lexie Leigh. They raise beef cattle and also have horses, dogs, cats, and a couple of goats. Both Dr. Chanda and Chad enjoy being involved in their community, as well as spending time on their farm with their girls.
